What is the general opinion about Elavil for LPR.

I have read it can cause side effects with the heart and liver.

I am wondering if I should take a risk and try it.

I am going to suggest it to my doctor.

Could 10 mg work? I read most people have success getting rid of LPR with 25 mg.

I've tried it before. It made me really sleepy. The idea behind it is that lower dosages of it can help treat nerve pain. Some people with LPR respond to this medication because they have hypersensitive nerves and the depressant helps num the pain. Also, it is noted that this medication can actually cause heartburn, so it's a hit or miss with some people. For me, it made my heartburn/throat worse.
