Great News, Nissen fundoplication surgery next month! After 20 months and numerous test i actually feel the end is in sight and is very close! Thank god for PH Test's.

I've read a few negative things about the NHS, which i don't doubt, but in my case from GP, Gastroenterologist to Surgeon, i simply can not fault them.

Hi AnotherDay,
That's wonderful news!  Glad to hear NHS has been good to you.  Actually, having been on this forum for four years, the majority of NHS stories have been very positive.  It seems that just now there are an abundance of negative ones.  I think in any situation--even private pay--there can be problems at times.
I know of one person who had the same surgeon did, and has nothing but negative things to say and had a very bad experience.  Yet I had a great experience, and have heard many, many others who think the world of him.  There are always going to be problems popping up, even in the very best of situations.
Be thankful for your NHS...there are many in the world without access to any health care and who suffer greatly because of it.  You are fortunate, indeed.
Again, happy to hear you're on the road to recovery!
We'll be here to welcome you to the Wrapped Club!  Be sure to ask any questions you might have as the surgery date approaches.
Happy Day!
