Get your vitamin D levels checked, if they are low, take D3 supplement, this will help.

Chryssy Has it helped your LPR? Did you read about it, -- please tell me where. How much and how often are you taking it. My levels are low. Thanks.

I had my vit D levels checked , they were high normal. Hasn't seemed to help with my reflux, I do take supplements and have for years well before my reflux issues. On the other hand vit d is likely not going to hurt you.

Pat, I have been taking D3 3000 daily, since last Friday and my symptoms are almost completely gone!!! I had suffered for two years, stayed on a pretty strict diet and refused to take any PPI'S, those only cause more harm to your body. My guess is that if you have been taking PPi's long term, it may take longer for your body to heal and you need to wean yourself off of them. I have also read that ppi's deplete your vitamin D, so if your taking vitamin D with ppi's, its not really going to help. I had a latte last night with no symptoms, something I have not been able to do in two years!! Long story short, I have my life again. Google LPR and Vitamin D, which is really a hormone in your body. Good luck!

Also, I have read, that people who suffer the symptoms of LPR should get their vitaminD levels up between 50-80 or until symptom free.
