It been 12years since my nissen fundoplication operation in England, I now have the symptoms back, don't know why. I have been told another operation could make me worse! All tablets upset my digestion except sucrafate or carafate but I'm also trying slippery elm bark. Anyone out there tried this? Am I wasting money?

I drink a tea containing this. I think it might contribute to healing. I'm also on the Fast Tract diet, which is low carb and higher protein and fat and was developed for GERD. I still have brief episodes of heartburn, but I can control it with TUMS. But I believe there are people here who have had multiple surgeries, with a better outcome over time. They might not respond to this thread title, so you could start a thread with "second surgery" title if that is what you really want to know.

Mostly I shop on the internet for convenience. The tea product I sometimes use is Throat Coat. I also drink licorice and ginger teas, and find them settling after a meal.
