One week is really early and you will run across lot of different symptoms in the next few weeks. My surgeon told me to ignore any symptoms for the first 2 months after my surgery and he was right.

Hi Sammy,
The lump in throat feeling and a multitude of other uncomfortable and reflux-like symptoms are totally normal in the first weeks post-op.  You've been through major surgery, there is swelling, and your upper GI tract is extremely unhappy with you.

Your wrap is still experiencing surgical pain and swelling.  You may not truly understand how major, major, major this surgery is.  The laproscopic procedure creates an illusion that not much was done.  This is not true.  You can't expect to feel any better than you do!  You've got a lot of healing to do!
Hang in there,
