Ok so its been 2 weeks and for the most part I've been doing well haven't had much trouble swallowing or too much pain

I seem to keep hicuping after drinking and eating I had this before the op and when I'd do it that's when I'd bring up stuff I'm not bringing stuff up now but still getting that hicupping and burping before my hiatus hernia and when all this started up I never used to hiccup and burp this way after food and drink any ideas people

Ok so when drinking liquids I find if I drink a lot or drink on a full stomach it will come back up a tiny bit is this reflux or where it hasn't gone through I seem to be having more trouble with water than food it makes a strange sound in my throat and stomach and just feels uncomfortable

Hi Sammy.

Are you eating full meals, eating solid foods? It's pretty early. Did they give you a diet to follow? If not, you might want to look one up online. At only two weeks your wrap is still very swollen and could be easily irritated. It's also hard to burp up all the air we swallow with a wrap.

It's lots better to eat just a little, often. I could only handle 1/4 cup at first. I didn't even try more than a cup at a time at two weeks. I did eat every couple of hours, every hour at first.

Do you have any food intolerances? If a food or drink caused you to hiccup or burp before the surgery it will continue to do so afterward.

I'd back off on the food a bit to see if that might help.

My doc set me a soft food diet for a week and I've started eating better meals I get full quick so don't eat much.

I guess I just need to revaluate any symptoms in a month or so I feel like I'm healing fairly quickly but I know it's probably going to
Be another 6 weeks before Im completely normal
