I've lost a lot of weight even before the surgery I was loosing weight due to nausea and not wanting to eat much overall I've gone from 77kg down to 62kg and still loosing lost about 6kg since surgery and am worried I cant afford to loose anymore there will be nothing left lol i't really sucks because i used to be in such good shape I was literally getting to the stage where I was competeing with the bodies on mens health which is really important to me as i'm a personal trainer now I am ridiculously skinny I'm hoping my appetite comes back soon I know its going to take another couple of months before things completely settle i feel now as if the symptoms i was having a week ago are becoming less frequent gradually.

IS WEIGHT LOSS DUE TO THE STOMACH FEELING FULL AND THUS EFFECTING OUR APPETITE ?

OR IS IT DUE TO THE STOMACH NOT BEING ABLE TO ABSORB AS MANY NUTRIENTS BECAUSE IT HAS SHRUNK OR BEEN THROUGH A ROUGH TIME?

if i could understand more about the root causes maybe I could introduce a diet plan maybe some weight gainers and things to help me slowly put some weight back on i'm feeling quite weak too

Sammy, I am having similar weight loss issues, simply due to gastritis. I think it has to do with BOTH factors you mentioned. How are you doing now?

sammy, how are you doing now?

I got my appetite back, perhaps coincidentally but most likely due to decrease in anxiety, the day after my endoscopy.  My stomach also doesn't feel like it's filled with 90% liquid acid.

Food is starting to actually taste good and I am starting to crave more things, especially after eating (kinda like getting the ball rolling I guess.)  I am still eating much healthier and smaller portion than I used to so I am still not putting any weight back but have seemed to decrease the rate of weight loss or have stopped it altogether.

Just checking in on you and see how your situation is.
