Ok, So it has been 5 weeks today. Yeah!! However I still have a lot of pain. I am noticeing that I have a pulling streching pain in the upper portion of my abdomen. And if anything brushes against it the pain is much worse.
I also noticed that on the left side there is a hard lump and I was wondering what it is, it hurts and not only that but I keep wondering is this my Stomach? What is this lump and When can I expect the pain to become better. I feel like the pain in making me so tired and lazy and that is not usually me.

What you are feeling is normal. It will gradually get better with time. The left side issue is because they use that port a lot during surgery and it is the last one to stop hurting. I have had the lump there a couple times. What you are most likely feeling is the swelling of the muscles and incision there.
As for the middle area, you are stretching things in there a bit. As things are healing there will be scar tissue forming and as the swelling goes down you will stretch things out a bit.

Take care,
Bill

The left side really gets worked over a lot during this surgery. That left post was used to lift and hold the liver out of the way. The left side is also where they loosen the fundus from the spleen to be able to make the wrap.
To go with that I noticed that sometimes when they cut through the muscles you have a slight bit of nerve damage issues until they grow back together. I had a lump about the diameter of a baseball one time and had smaller ones with the others.

The left side will take the longest to stop being sore.

Take care,
Bill
