HealingWell and our GERD - Heartburn peer support discussion
I am sorry to hear of your babies need for surgical intervention and I can identify 100% with how you are feeling.
It is OK to feel anxious as this is a very big deal for a Mom even if a surgery is minor. We do not want our children in pain.
I would like to suggest that your write down all your questions for you Dr. including how they are going to tell when your little ones are in pain and how they will medicated them.
I know thinking of your little one having major surgery is scary - set up your support team now as you will be with your children and won't have time to do much else for awhile.
Let others do for you and add your children to the prayer list at your church if you choose too.
I suspect you will be at the hospital as much as you can but remember to take care of yourself. Go out for a walk. Nap when the little one is sleeping.
Try not to overthink anything as that will throw you into the "what if?" mode. Just remember to breathe to help you with any high anxiety.
I will keep all of you in my prayers.
