I am currently on zantac 150 mg 2x
i took it earlier than usual right now because of the bleeding
I'm also on prednisone 30 mg if that helps im really concerned

You probably had some capillaries bust if it was just a little bit.

Sometimes when there is a lot if throwing up the tiny cappilaries in our throats with bust and just a little blood will come out.
If it's just a little bit of blood mixed with a lot of spit don't worry you'll be okay. They will close up quick and your throat will be a little sore.
If it's all blood and keeps happening then you need to see a doctor ASAP.

Are you considering the special surgery to stop your reflux?
I had it done over 3 years ago and have no problems now.

I agree. It's probably just a small capillary tear. I have gerd and ended up aspirating reflux into my lungs. I have been very sick from this and on steroids since November in hopes to decrease the inflammation. I had been vomiting on a daily basis. Was hospitalized twice. My nose has since started bleeding every day, sometimes twice a day. My doctor told me that a capillary in my nose opened and is unable to heal from the long term prednisone use. Prednisone has many benefits but it can have very bad efects on our body. It makes our tissue/organs very friable.....like mush. Dont be alarmed if it is a small amount of blood. Im scheduled for NF in a week and can't wait. Nosebleeds and vomiting gets old, not to mention the long term lung problems that I now have from aspirating gerd. When you throw steroids into the mix,its a whole new ballgame.Good luck and hang in there.....and keep track of all the symptoms you're having and let your doctor know.

colitis,
Wow, sorry to hear about your struggles at such a strong age. My wife suffers from UC and keeps it under control pretty good most of the time. She uses a lot of natural supplements to do so, in the beinging it took her 3 months to get it in remission. I was telling about your post (UC stuff) and this is the stuff that she felt helped her the most. Again, it took 3 months of daily use to see results.

Turmeric 500 mg x4 daily
Boswellia 200/400 mg daily
fish oil 9,000 mg daily
O-mega's 1,800 mg daily

She also takes probiotics, vit. D3, multi vit, and I'm sure a few more because it's like 11 pills a day.

Though this is a gerd forum, when I saw your UC problems I thought I could help. Remember every day for 3 months before she saw results but she swears by it and watches her diet as well.

Best of luck
