Hi,

Hope it's ok to post here as from a previous post, i don't think i have GERD.  But I do have some inflammation in my stomach as seen by an endoscopy (i.e. gastritis).  No other abnormalities were seen so my issue has been labelled as functional dyspespia.  The thing is, I have this constant nausea for 2 months now (or if the nausea subsides it is burning, stomach tightness, stomach pains/discomfort).  I have been taking zantac to try and control the acid and odansetron for the nausea (which helps but only for a short time).  I also have a prescription for a PPI which I may start shortly. I don't eat spicy or fried food and have been keeping my diet pretty simple, etc.

Any tips of what to do?  My hustand and I are going away on the weekend where part of the fun of the vacation is eating in restaurants.  It will be awful if I'm feeling nauseous durign it.
Ulcerative Colitis 1988, had colon removed and now jpouch
Now sufer from sacroiliitis and inflammation of piriformis muscle causing sciatica like pain during flare ups. Joints very bad...take celebrex when needed.
Also suffer from asthma (only triggered when I get a cold) and stuffed sinuses.

I have battled nausea for many months. It is now to the point where its managable. But I have had to avoid eating certain foods. All dairy, most beans and gas produced veggies. Hot and spicy foods. Acidic foods and drinks. Alcohol. I also would take zantac 150 when needed and zofran when it gets real bad. Exercise seems to help things along as well. Good luck on the vacation!
