Welcome to the Healing Well Wrapped Club! Tarachristo has asked you a very good question. You've not provided much information to go on.
I can tell you this, though. I was told by my surgeon that the esophagus is a dumb organ that interprets all pain as reflux/burning. So if it's a reflux burning you're describing, yes, it's normal. It's part of the healing experience. Remember that your stomach has been through a lot...it's been stretched and pulled and wrapped an stitched. I'll be complaining for quite some time. Listen to what it has to say, and follow your body's lead.
Give us some more information, and ask questions as they come. Glad you've joined us!
