I have been diagnosed with Barretts. My Gastro has put me on Prilosec and Reglan. During my due diligence, I have discovered that these drugs inhibit the absorption of Calcium. I have osteopenia, my mom as osteoporosis. If she sneezes, she breaks a rib or 2. I believe that this condition has been caused by 20 years of misdiagnosis of Sinus. All the mucous that has been dripping down my throat and trying to be digested, I believe, has caused this. I have just had sinus surgery (no fun at all) and am now going to see a surgeon to see if there is a "fix" for the Barretts. Any opinions before I go see him? Any questions that I may not have thought to ask?
