I have not had any fish and chips for a while as it usually means I can still taste them for hours, have heartburn, I feel bloated, and have a lot of discomfort afterwards.
So why today did I get some for lunch on way home from shops and now sit here feeling rotten?
Why do we make ourselves feel bad?
I have even been out for a good walk with my dog to try and relieve the discomfort. This works sometimes but not today.
Gaviscon has not helped either today.
My fault that I feel like this really.

My sister has this problem, she thinks that since it didn't bother her before that it won't now. I have to remind her she had a major surgery.

I have not had any surgery, I just have omeprazole twice a day and gaviscon when needed. Have hiatus hernia and acid and bile reflux. Nausea. Etc.
Should know better?

I dont have a problem with chocolate strangely enough! It actually helps to settle my stomach. The problem with chocolate is though is that I have Diabetes Type 2 but just on diet no medication. So as chocolate does seem to settle the GERD/gastritis I should not really be eating it but have been doing lately and my annual blood test is due! You cannot win with any of these probslems can you.

Have only been taking once a day but following endoscopy last week found repeat prescription had increase of them. However, what is weird is that GP has not had result of endoscopy and have not yet heard whether I am to see consultant again!

So have only just started two a day as from yesterday. Not done much for me today though.

I find chocolate is a demon for reflux! the worst thing actually.

I still eat a pile of junk food though, I really have to cut down, and it is part of the reason I came on to this site, to try and clean my act up a bit more in relation to my symptoms.

For me, frozen custard is the demon.  Even though I know I may reflux when I eat frozen custard, I love it and always think that just maybe it won't bother me.

LOL.  Our mind loves to trick us.

A frozen custard addict eh! lol
sorry to hear that you like it so much, and it gives you so much reflux. Thankfully, I don't think I have ever tried it, and on that basis, I think I will continue to avoid it.
