I have seen a report in a newspaper about this gel that it combats heartburn, reflux, flatulence and stomach ache. Anyone tried it please.

Hi there. Yes, I've tried it and it's worked for me. You can get it from Holland & Barrett and dilute it with water or tea, or take it neat. It's a natural product containing silica which is essential to the body. A lot of the bottled water companies are selling how crucial silica is to our health. Also, Silica's been linked to combating aluminium toxicity and alzheimers. Silicol gel has helped me for sure, even for overindulgence and a few too many glasses of vino!

I went to the health food stores and they had silica products. These were in the hair skin and nails section. Is this the same item?

Hi shifting, it's called silicol gel and normally in the digestive section at Holland & Barrett or you can buy it online from them. I have just seen a review of it by IBS-Health.com which is run by an IBS sufferer who checks out various products for fellow sufferers.
