I have sleep apnea and am wondering how that affects the nissen? Sometimes air gets caught in my stomache. How would that affect the nissen, stomache ect.....anyone have the cpap and nissen or LInx?

I read on the forum that JPT had a CPAP machine. Don't remember the details but he has a Linx. Suggest your question be entered on the Linx Club. He will probably pick it up there and respond.

My sister has a CPAP. If you're getting air in the stomach your lower esophageal sphincter must be mostly open and not working. I'd try to get a Nissen asap. If you ever need an MRI you'd have to have the LINX removed.

I was on cpap therapy before my nissen and after my nissen I had much less air getting into my stomach. The cpap didn't effect my nissen at all. since loosing weight I am no longer using my cpap since all I have left are central hypopneas now.

Take care,
Bill
