Yes you can have a hiatus hernia repaired without a fundo - I have been looking into this myself, and have found an excellent surgeon who would be prepared to do this.
What you have to consider is that even after the hernia repair it may still not cure your reflux/LPR - it's a risk. It's one that I consider well worth taking at the moment as I don't want my hernia to get any bigger, and the longer you leave it, the more damage the hernia does in expanding the les - I am also considering getting the endostim and i'min the process for further testing for it.
The best surgeons for this hernia repair on its own are actually lapband surgeons who routinely perform hernia repairs as part of the process. I have to warn you though, it's not cheap - I've been quoted £5,500!
