Hi All,
I thought I would check in and let you all know that after 7 months of
stomach issues, losing weight, tests and more tests I am now dealing with possible cancer of the pancreas.  I never thought this could end up like this!......
I am going to a specialist tomorrow back in orange county to see what they can do.  I had a Petscan a couple weeks ago, and that is where they found the mass on my pancreas.  It is on the tail, so I guess that is better than the head....I will know more tomorrow.

I just wanted you all to know that the symptoms of pancreatic problems and gastritis, IBS, etc. are almost identical.  So be sure to have your doctors check this also!

I have changed doctors and am going to my old doctor when I lived in orange county.  We will be moving back there as soon
as we know what path we are on.  Hope you are all doing well.

Hugs, Gail

I will be praying that you get good news. I had an MRI and they told me they saw evidence that i had pancreatitis, but they said they couldnt say when i had it. Do you think a PET scan is more detailed than an MRI?

You know I really would be guessing.  A qualified radiologist could give
you an opinion.  However the Petscan is good at picking up any
cancerous areas.  The pancreas is very hard to see is what II hae been told.  I am hoping I do not have to have a MRI as I cannot stand to be
confined.  ;(
They would have to sedate me for it.
Petscans are no fun at all......very long and confining as well.

I would keep a close watch on it for sure.  The doctor I had here in this
small town fooled around with my symptoms for way too long.
