not enough stomach acid

Isnt it possible that not enough stomach acid could be the problem?

It is possible, and I know it has been proven for a number of people with heartburn problems. In order for heartburn to be present, I would imagine there would also have to be problems with the LES and/or UES. If there is no problem with the valves then I do not see how heartburn would still be possible.
