Yay!! I'm so happy you found another surgeon--one who listened and took your suffering seriously. Thank you for reminding everyone of the importance of pre-op testing. It is definitely critical to the ultimate success of your surgery.
All too often we get members who try not to have the manometry because they fear it will be too difficult. And with its difficulty (and it is challenging, yet very "doable") comes critical information than can ensure the success of your surgery. Listen to Barry, and get ALL the testing. If your surgeon doesn't think it is necessary, consider seeking out another surgical opinion.
