I'm Sharon. 54. In a committed relationship. I live on Cape Cod.
I have numerous health issues. I have been chronically ill since 1993 when I was infected with Lyme disease and two co-infections.
I have type 2 diabetes. HBP (controlled with meds). Debilitating arthritis (I had total double knee replacement in 2010)
I am a cancer survivor (9 yrs) squamous cell carcinoma- stage 3
A year ago I had issues that I felt were associated with my esophagus/voice box.
After much testing they sent me to a specialist at Deaconess in Boston.
I have a growth in the wall of my esophagus which is too deep to biopsy. They decided to keep an eye on it and check it yearly.
My symptoms progressed to difficulty swallowing, constant cough/throat clearing, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, post nasal drip, ear blockage and spasms in my diaphragm.
Finally, my ENT diagnosed me with LPRD.
I am taking 80 mg Prilosec daily.
I have a prescription nasal spray for the drip.

Here is my problem.
The Prilosec is somewhat effective. But I can not breathe!
My primary doc prescribed an inhaler, saying I have COPD, I am not sure I agree and the inhaler does not help (it's not a bronchial issue)
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum! Have you tried changing your diet? U cut out gluten, dairy, fried and acidic foods which helped.

I have been gluten free for 9 months. Fat free, sugar free, dairy free....
I really don't think I can make more dietary changes.
