I had my Nissen in April and things have progressed pretty normally with the information I have read here. The last couple of weeks I have been waking up with severe burning in my esophagus. The strange thing is that prior to surgery I did not experience GERD while laying down.........this was shown in my BRAVO test. Does anyone have an idea why this would be happening? I should mention that I had to slowly wean off of my prevacid following surgery as I had bleeding ulcers last summer. I stopped the last dose about two weeks ago and am wondering if this is the cause and maybe should go back on the one pill per day. My goal with surgery was to get off all the medication I was taking because it has affected my blood levels.....vitamin B, folic acid, vitamin D....etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
