Hi I have been experiencing extreme burning in my throat for the past few weeks now. Some days it's fine but some days it comes back. I went to the doctor and she told me to take Pepcid. I can swallow food and drinks fine with no problem but when it comes to pills I'm afraid to take them and try to find liquid and chewable versions for everything..

Has anyone had this and been completely cured without meds? I really am scared to swallow pills bc I feel like something will happen.. Perhaps choke. Last time i took a pill i felt like more throat was tighting up and scared the crap out of me..Please tell me this will get better. I'm 28 years old I have extreme anxiety as well which I'm getting therapy for... I hope this is nothing too serious. I know GERD hs to be controlled. I don't want a scope down my throat or anything.. I just want it to go away.. If there's a special diet what exactly do I have to eat? Please help
