i am having symptoms of dry throat, feeling something in my throat and a lot of post nasal drip.  I also have allergies but i'm so focused on this - it's driving me nuts.  last year I went to an ENT and he did a throat scope to determine that nothing was lodged or stuck or I didn't have any mass.  it was all fine.
I don't remember him saying if he could see anything related to lpr or gerd.  could he have at that time?  he didn't go into my stomach of course but I have read online that they can determine this from an ENT?  i'm assuming he doesn't go into your stomach.  that would be something probably a gastro dr. would do while you are under.
I have been told I might have silent GERD by my PCP and a gastro - although at that time it was from musculoskeletal pain I was having at the time and he wasn't convinced 100%.
this drainage and then dry mouth from the meds I take for it I think are driving me nuts.  not sure who I should go see again?  have also read that the PPI drugs are the opposite of what some people need.  sometimes you don't produce enough acid.  so confusing.  all they hve done with me is try to push the drugs with no testing.  I wasn't too happy about doing an endoscopy so I didn't.  ugh
anyone have any experience with this?  my gma also just died and i'm wondering if this is all anxiety too.  gawd who knows?!  not me!

Oh, so sorry for your loss. ((((((((Gentle hug)))))))

A full endoscopy will tell if you have irritation from gerd. The ph test will also do it.
The endoscopy isn't bad at all if you're asleep. You can as for versa to relax you and knock you out sightly. You won't remember the test at all.

The medicine you're taking for the cold could be drying you out too much. It could also be a bad case of nerves.
