Hi everyone..  I was just wondering if any of you order from DGL from Puritan Pride online, and if you do, is it fructose free/sugar free?
Thanks..

I bought this before, it is sweetened with Sorbitol.

Sorbitol, also known as glucitol, is a sugar alcohol, which the human body metabolizes slowly. It can be obtained by reduction of glucose, changing the aldehyde group to a hydroxyl group

Other Ingredients in the PP DGL: Sorbitol, Maltodextrin. Contains <2% of: Natural Licorice Flavor, Silica, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate. No Artificial Color or Flavor, No Preservatives, No Sugar, No Starch, No Milk, No Lactose, No Soy, No Gluten, No Wheat, No Yeast, No Fish. Sodium Free.

Be cautious of eating too much sorbitol; it can cause intestinal upsets and diarrhea. For some it takes a lot, for some only a little.
Ulcerative colitis diagnosed in 2001; symptoms as early as 1992. Currently in 7th year of remission with Remicade.
Inflammatory osteoarthritis; osteonecrosis from steroids
Grave's disease successfully treated with radioactive iodine and now on Levothyroxine.
Type II diabetes induced by steroids.
Meds: Remicade, Colazal, Levothyroxine, Mobic, Metformin

Unfortunately, the sorbitol gives me gas following the NF.
It did before the surgery, but it was never painful.

If anyone knows a DGL that is made with a real sweetener, other than corn, I'd love to know about it.

Which is good news because Stevia is one of the only sugar substitutes that I know of that your liver recognizes as real food and thus doesn't have to try to filter it out.

It seems after looking online that there are not any with Stevia, the NOW brand does not have a sugar free version and all the others I saw had sorbitol if they were sugar free..?  Unless I am missing a brand out there?  What brand does  everyone use that is sugar free?
Thanks..
