I am 4 weeks post surgery. (Nissen / Hiatal Hernia Repair via robot)
about a week ago I sarted having pain between 1 of my incision sites and my belly button down low. It is a burning sensation witha dull ache that projects around my side to  my back. The surgeon nicked my small intestine and had to repair it during the surgery. Has anyone experienced this type of pain so long after the surgery...?

FF-

You are about the point where the dissolvable stitches are dissolving. When they do the tension they were taking goes to the muscles and can cause this. I had it with several of mine.

If it the middle low one just make sure to feel the middle of it and be sure it isn't pulling apart. This would be a hernia. You may feel a small amount of a gap at the skin, but it shouldn't go very deep.

After my open nissen I have a slight muscle separation and have to keep an eye on it. But it's the 4th time that same area was cut open.

Take care,
Bill
