my lpr symptoms are worse than my gerd symptoms but only seeing a gi doc. Also have a hital hernia. do I need to see an ENT too, or can my gi doc handle all of this. Also from what I've read treatment is the same for both, is that true?

Well, generally treatments are the same, though studies are finding that PPIs and H2 blockers aren't very effective for LPR (and are damaging in the long-term for GERD patients). I don't think doctors truly know how to treat LPR yet - which sucks, 'cause that's what I have.

My ENT just wants to put me on pills, so I hope you get a better ENT doc if you go. I'd think a GI doc could handle everything, though?

A GI doctor can handle everything and will handle more issues than an ENT.

Take care,
