Did you have a gastric emptying test before deciding on surgery?

Just had mine done today. They actually ended it after 2 hours since my stomach was empty already. Does this affect whether or not surgery will help the gerd and lpr? Not sure if it makes a difference but I hadn't eaten for about 16 hours before the test, maybe that's why it went so fast. Just wondering what others results were and what it means.

I had the gastric emptying. I stayed for 4 hours and mine turned out totally normal. I think at the 4 hour mark I only had just traces left in my stomach.

I believe that if you have delayed stomach emptying, it can cause you to have wrap issues because things are not moving through fast enough and it puts pressure on your wrap. I am not an expert on this, but your results are really good so that just means that its another indicator you are a good candidate for surgery.
