I had surgery a week ago and I am still having trouble swallowing liquids on my diet. How long did it take everyone until they were able to swallow without pain or difficulty?

Thank you.

Hopefully, each day will get better for you! Did you have a Nissen? or something else?
It's a slow process getting calories into our stomachs, but it does happen.

Welcome to Healing Well and the Wrapped Club!

Are you still taking any pain meds? If not, you might want to try them and see if it's easier to get things down. Besides that make sure to not drink to fast. It takes some time for it to get past the wrap, especially while it's swollen. Cold drinks also can be difficult for a while because it causes the wrap area to tighten up.
Over all it can be a challenge to get things past the wrap for a few weeks, but will get easier.

Take care,
