I have really bad burning in my upper chest that always begins with belching and burping. This pain feels like acid burning my esophagus and it is very atypical because I only have it once every 7-12 days. It is also atypical because it always last 24 hours and then it is over until the next 7-12 days. I have been to several gastro physicians who have done all the tests and say I only have a slight case of GERD. Can this be caused by my gall bladder? I need some answers because when it is active, it really hurts!

I wonder if it could be related to hormones...From your post I am not sure if you are female but hormones can sometimes play a role in GERD.

My GERDS symptoms flair up about just about every other meal with me. And yes I too experience lots of chest pain along with it. It took about 2 month to quit running back and fort to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. Now I just take two Tylenol and try to ride it out. Good luck in finding a solution, but your symptoms are common in my case I just have them more frequently.

My Gerd symptoms happen as I wake up this is then how my day will be either good with no heartburn or bad with lots and no appetite. It lasts no longer than 48 hours almost to the minute then I have no problems for the next day except for acute hunger pains.
