Your symptoms sound very familiar to mine. I have a duodenal ulcer caused by h.pylori and does cause a lot of discomfort in my stomach. When mine is acting up, I get a burning sensation (kind of feels like someone is using a car lighter) in between my rib cage and navel slightly to the right. I get those hunger pains and eating a small snack helps me. If I eat too much, I will feel sick to my stomach. I don't vomit too much as I am very careful about
eating small meals. If my ulcer is bleeding substantially, I will see "black tar" in my stool which is an indication to me to get to the doctor immediately. He will put me on anti-biotics and double my prevacid dosage for two weeks. For you, to me it sounds like a possible ulcer but I'm glad that you are going to get it checked out so you can rule out other things as well. Let me know if you need any other information about
ulcers and the symptoms.
