Hello,
I don't know if I'm in the right forum as it's my first time on. I have been having pain to the touch in my lower right abdomen. My OB/GYN did an interior ultra sound and when the instrument touched the area inside, it felt bruised. I have been having severe bloating (looking pregnant) after every meal. Nausea. Today I have burped no less than 50 times (!!!). It tastes like rotten eggs every single time. The taste hasn't lessened at all throughout the day. Lots of throat/mouth tingling/watering with that (different type of nausea). The burping started this morning when I woke up and it hasn't stopped. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? My OB/GYN recommended me to an internist, but I want to make sure I'm seeing the right specialist. The burping has just started today...

TIA for any counsel anyone has to offer!

Kim,

Hello and welcome to HealingWell and the GERD forum.

You may want to check out our resources - here is the link - and you can read about GERD verses LPR.

You may do better by seeking out a GI physician who specializes in problems that pertain to your digestive tract.

I am sorry to hear you are so miserable.

Kindly,
Kitt

Hi Kim,
I agree with Kit, you need to see a GI specialist.

I will say that when I was a little girl, I had some similar symptoms, especially the rotten egg burps.
I remember I had to take a barium swallow, but I do not remember if they ever had a diagnosis.
I do know that it went away and never came back. Sorry I do not have more help than that, I think I was about 8 or 9 when this went on.

Thank you, Kit, for the link and Stephanie for your comment. I will definitely be making an appointment with a GI specialist!
