Well I am 31 yr old male and have had gerd and the hernia since I was about 15. Over the last several years I have had a cpl bouts of severe anemia and have causing the need for blood transfusions and iv iron treatments. After having all the test you can imagine ran they finally came to an agreement that the bleeding is probably coming from ulcers related to the hernia. The Dr informed me that he generally does the partial wraps on his patients and that is what is to be expected. Over all I feel pretty good about the procedure, the recovery is what has the nerves up a little. Procedure will be done a tmf in tyler tx.

I wouldn't worry at all. The recovery is nothing in comparison to how much better you will feel. You'll seriously be just fine. I'm about 5 weeks out from my wrap being done. Feel free to ask anything you need to! I asked and shared so many things I had to make a part 2 to my nissen journal a month out.

Thanks for the response. I read through part one of your journal the other day. I will be going shopping this weekend to get stocked up.
