So yea.... Hi

I had surgery on 10-14-2013. Had the NF and a large HH repair. I have felt pretty good all and all. Lately I have been having some bouts with nausea. I could be eating or doing nothing. It just kinda sneaks up on me. Usually only last about 5 minutes. Mouth fills up with saliva and just kinda sucks for a few minutes. I have gotten a little when or after I am eating but not really bad. Anyone had this this far post op. I never had it in the beginning, so this is new for me and it is kinda frustrating.

Read my thread back in November 7th. I hope you have anti nausea meds on hand. I caught a stomach bug. What triggered it was cheesy pasta. Look at what you were eating that set it off. I talked to my surgeon this past week. He said if you don't have anti nausea meds on hand take a Tums (Rennies in UK) or PPIs. He said the acid starts the nausea.

Yes it can happen at any time. Keep anti nausea meds on hand. I still get it once in a while, especially if I strain at all to go to the bathroom. I found that spitting out the excess saliva when it hits helps to stop the nausea. I think it's a protective mechanism to have excess saliva when your body senses nausea.

Take care,
