I am four months post Nissen wrap and had no reflux until today. I did overeat a bit on Christmas day and I started having pain under my ribs and in the middle of my chest. I am also having back pain and even pain in my right shoulder and down my right arm. (That could be something else. I have spine problems.) Now on Dec. 29 I am having acid reflux again. I took a Zantac and it has helped greatly.
Have I likely damaged my wrap? If so, then do I have to have a re-do? I think I'd rather stay on zantac than go through the Nissen again! (I didn't have any esophageal damage, so I might have done the Nissen too early anyway.)

I don't think you damaged the wrap. It is probably irritated. I had some reflux today but it was what I ate.

Welcome to Healing Well and the Wrapped Club1

I agree that you probably just irritated the wrap. 4 months is still early in the healing process and you can irritate it quite easily. Back off your diet a bit and baby your stomach for a few days. This usually will help get things under control. IT could take a week or 2 though.

Take care,
