Per docs instructions, I'm off my meds and have been tapering off the various products (dexilant, zantac, tums) for days now. As of today, I'm totally off everything in anticipation for my procedure tomorrow.

I am in such pain. It has been growing everyday and today is out of this world.

Water is too much. I tried eating mashed potatoes, but I can't do it. It's so painful. I'm about down to having my husband make me a shaved ice...just plain ice flavor. lol

I'm throwing up everything, the acid, burning, and general chest pain is so bad. Any ideas??? What can I eat??

I feel your pain as I was going to do a similar post myself. I just stopped my medicine today for my bravo test next Wednesday. I'm short of breath , chest tightness and lump in throat. So far I ate some gluten free cereal with almond milk and two apples. I'm taking gaviscon and Tums but I can't imagine how I could last till the test and then how I could eat "normal " diet and don't take medicine while having that test. My symptoms change from week to week and just my luck now it has to be the scary ones (the regular heartburn is more predictable).

My husband went out and got me banana pudding and banana yogurt pops. I didn't have a whole lot of anything yesterday and I'm expected to be at the hospital at 11 am today.

Not for sure how I'm supposed to eat normal over the next couple of days with no meds. I hope they find out a way to help me.

Okay, so I'm home and hooked up!

The doctor came in after everything and informed me he was only doing the Bravo as a courtesy but he is referring me to a surgeon for the nissen due to the size of my hiatal hernia and my symptoms. Whew!! I just want even...a halfway normal life.
