You have a few options. You can see if your acid reducers help, and can also see if altering your diet helps. If those things do not cause your symptoms to improve, you can go to see a gastroenterologist to have a few specific tests done to determine if you have a hiatal hernia, and to see how much acid is rising and for how long in a 24 hour period. These include an endoscopy, a motility study, and a PH study.
Given that you've only been experiencing this for 2 months, I'd say you are at best in the early stages of GERD, and for most, people can control their symptoms with medicine and diet alone.
I'm quite familiar with the symptoms you describe, I've dealt with most of those my whole life for what sounds like the same reasons.
Once you have taken the above steps, please let me know what happens and how effective all that is. Beyond that, there are more options. But these are the first steps.
