Dear Friends,
I am dropping in to say hello and wish you well. You may have noticed I am no longer a moderator for GERD.  Due to my health - Colon Cancer - I have found I do not have the energy I want to have so reorganizing  some of my responsibility here in HealingWell was one way I chose to lighten my daily duties.
In no way am I trying to alarm you, however, I noticed after my colon resection that my GERD decreased a lot so perhaps the large tumor aggravated my GERD symptoms. Also my OR report identified a small hiatal hernia - nothing to see or care, hardly worth mentioning.  cool
I do remain on Prilosec once daily as my Chemo meds can raise havoc with my digestive system.
I was dx on 8/10/2012 but kept most of my problems off the forum.
My email is open if anyone wants to talk and as a HW moderator, I am always here for you and every member of HW that may have a question or concern.
Be kind to my co-mods, Denise, Bill and Erica; between them they could write a book on GERD and surgical procedures.
Gentle Hugs,

Hi Kitt,
We'll miss your uncommon moderating skills, but hope you'll be patient when we continue to contact you for advice! It makes perfect sense that you would cut back on your HW responsibilities, and I support you decision 100%! I have difficulty keeping up with one forum, let alone three!

I too hugely support your choice to back off your moderating. Very wise idea my friend.

But remember you are a huge part of this forum being what it is and please stop by from time to time. Oh, and I will come to you for advice when need be for sure. Thank you for taking us under your wing.

Oh yeah, 3 days left to hang out in a tree and have 3 tags left so I may be a little scarce through the weekend.

Take care my friend,

I support you 100 percent. You have to take care of yourself first. I have been following your progress on Caring Bridge and you are in my thoughts.
