I'm pretty sure abs are bad for GERD. What exercises could I do?
I've been doing cardio (trying to lose some weight) and I'm afraid running out of breath could do some harm. I haven't felt particularily bad, though. I wanted to check with your experiences.

Losing weight is one of things that is mentioned in much of the medical literature as a possible remedy for GERD.

It is good that you are exercising and, as long as your doctor says your heart is able to withstand exercise, then you should go for it.

I think brisk walking is one of the best ways to lose weight as long as it is done on a consistent basis at least three times a week.  Every day is even better.  Just my opinion.  Check with your doctor for sure.

Hi Alejandro!

I think it's wonderful that you are trying to stay healthy and exercise is one of the best ways to do that! Exercise never bothered my GERD unless it had anything to do with bending. As always, like Searchin' said, Please check first with your Dr.

Hugs, Teri :)

For me daily walking of 30 minutes is the best. Hard running bounces too much and tends to send the acid up.
