I had the TIF procedure 6 1/2 weeks ago. I had suffered from GERD for over 30 years -I'm 65- and was taking 4 PPI'S and 2 H2 blockers daily for the last 5 years. Fractured my left knee a year ago and found out several months ago there is a high incidence of fractures in people on this therapy. Consequently, after considerable research, I decided on having the TFI procedure.
I have been following the diet as required, liquids/soft foods, and yesterday, along with several previous incidents, had 3 different attacks of reflux after introducing slightly more solid foods, per instructions. Also the amount of gas has been a constant irritant.
I should add that during the TIF procedure a hiatal hernia was discovered (3.2cm) and repaired.
Should I be experiencing reflux this far along post procedure? Appreciate any feedback.

Welcome. Glad to have you on our forum. Here's a suggestion-- go to the upper right corner of this page and type in TIF in the Custom Search. There are lots of comments about the TIF. Here's an example below to get you started. Click on it:

Let's us know how you are doing.
