Nausea, globus related to GERD (or not?!)

I have had chronic daily nausea as well as frequent globus for a year; I have been diagnosed with reflux esophagitis and hiatal hernia; but in my 24 acid probe I had very little abnormal acid production and nausea was not usually correlated with reflux (globus had some corrlelation).Test for stomach motility was normal. I have one gastroenterolist who has tried me with the usual treatment of ppi's &H2 blockers, with no relief. I have a new doc who does not believe that GERD and nausea are related at all; we have tried the scopalime patch to no avail, and will be starting Elavil. My symptoms are usually triggered by bending (even slightly) forward or sometimes to the side. I have been extremely nauseous for the past week, and find that only Dramamine helps; Meclazine also but it made me dizzy. Any comments re this situation would be appreciated.
