I recently bought some slippery elm as I read it helps healing the stomach lining and it also seems to desensitize an hypersensitive esophagus. I have a couple of questions or regards of how I am supposed to take it.
Is it okay to take it at the end of a meal or does it slow digestion down? I read it might slow the absorption of nutrients, but I'm not sure that means the same thing.
I was also thinking of adding a teaspoon of it to my morning smoothie - do you think it would be okay to mix it with yogurt?
Lastly, as it is supposed to coat the lining I suppose it is not advisable to drink water for a while after drinking the tea, is that correct?
