I know I say this all the time but, I'm really sorry I post here so often. Every time I think I get a handle on the situation, I get something new. I'm hoping this isn't so serious, but maybe you can please help me?
I've finally reduced my Mirtazapine to only 1mg, and gotten over my previous symptoms. The good news is, my "heartburn" was a red herring, my burning throat is almost gone - only kicking in if I clear my throat often and drink a lot of water - and my burps don't feel like they're bringing up as much mucus etc anymore. I still get a lot of gas, and some nausea, but nowhere near as bad as just a week ago. So far so good right? Except, 2 nights ago I woke up/stood up, and when I laid back down again, there was the horrid sensation of a wad of mucus stuck in my throat. My throat really felt like it had constricted on me, and I spent 2 hours just lying there, clearing my throat. This only seemed to worsen it.
I was worried, because even though I'd taken a good amount of Gaviscon Advance just 2 hours before, I still had that lump sensation. Even taking more Gaviscon didn't help. The next day, I had more mucus in my throat than ever, and a lot of spit. That lump just wouldn't fade, and would only briefly vanish if I ate hot/thick food like soup or a piece of bread. And the worst part is? Burping made it worse. Of course every Google search I conduct says it's LPR. To be safe, I've got a re-take of Peptest on hand for the next time my symptoms get unbearable again.
I'm not sure where this symptom has suddenly appeared from. I never had it before with my other "LPR" symptoms, so could it be a result of me clearing my throat too much, or stress from Mirtazapine withdrawal? I'm trying to resist clearing my throat, but it's not easy when I burp like someone squeezing the wind out of bagpipes all day (metaphors aren't my forte XD). If it is from damage, how long will it take to go away?
Thanks for any help you can offer. I'm glad I was able to post some good news at least, but if I can get rid of this and my gas I'll effectively be normal again. Here's hoping..!
EDIT: Forgot to say, drinking hot water can give me some relief as the water goes down, but then I burp, and the lump kinda comes back. ^^;
EDIT 2: I take it back, my throat is still burning as bad as ever. :(
