Has anyone tried Manuka honey from New Zealand for treating
GERD? Research has shown it to have remarkable healing properties in the treatment of burns, and when taken internally (one teaspoon in hot water, drink like a tea) for treatment of irritation/inflammation of the GI tract.

Yes, but it doesn't work to stop gerd. Gerd is caused by an underlying problem , h pylori, hiatal hernias, poor diets, stress...

Yep, tried it. Did the recommended 'eat it on a cracker' technique and the a 'teaspoon after food' technique. Made no discernible difference for me but that doesn't mean it might not offer someone else some reduction of symptoms.

Manuka honey will not cure or may not even offer relief from gerd, however it's healing properties have been proven. I drink the spoon full with hot water as a tea to help heal the damage from gerd.
