Question that is hard to explain! I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia way back in 91. Pretty well controlled. Over the past couple years I bloat horrible after eating sometimes.(upper abdomen bloating).
Sometimes in the evening I feel like I can't breathe deeply. This is what worries me, and I do have anxiety issues, which I am sure makes it worse. I recently started a 'gentle' exercise/water program and love it. I have no problem while doing this. I've noticed a couple hours after that I have like a 'lump feeling' (for lack of a better word) by the bone/cartilage in the middle area just under the breast line. Not a pain. Just feels like something is there and like I can't take a real deep breath.
Could this be the Hernia acting up?
Thank you in advance :-)

Hello, bloating can cause difficulty in breathing, this is my experience. Can be hernia, better get checked.

And have you considered something related to esophagus? An ultrasound should be able to show.
