I tried drinking carrot juice and wonderful effects on my stomach and liver/gallbladder.
I juiced about 12 ounces of carrots, then I put the carrot. Juice in a smoothie machine (blender) and added spinach, kale and more carrots. I wanted the carrot fiber from a couple carrots with the drink but not all the carrot fiber.
I believe it cleaned out my gallbladder ducts. But, I'm not a doctor . However, it did help me a HUGE amount.
I have also added celery to my juices.

Thanks for sharing your recipe.  My daughter juices and believes in it.  She does it for good health and nutrition which I give both of you credit for taking the time to do something good just for yourselves.

If it is helping your GERD - wonderful.  I am sure we have some people here in the forum who juice.

Be well,

I read somewhere that carrot juicing allowed some people to not have their gallbladders removed. Again I think it helped clean my sludge out??
But, from what I read the carrot juice is good but also the fiber to clean out the gallbladder and kidney stones?
Either way I am hooked.
If you start....start slow. Back in aug I started to fast and had complications with cucumbers. Cucumbers can have icky side effects for some guts.

I juice every morning with the following recipe:

3 kiwi fruit
2-3 carrots (depending on size)
1/4 lemon
1/8 pineapple slice
1/2 cucumber
1 apple (kind varies by week, depends what is the cheapest at the time)

Sometimes I throw in a leafy green but not always. I've been juicing for about 4-5 months and it has not given me any heartburn. After doing different variations of this recipe I started to stick with this particular one about 3 months ago. Kiwi has a lot of good nutrients. The lemon and apple are more for taste but have some nutrients that are good. The cucumber is mostly for extra liquid. I don't remember why I added the carrots and pineapple but I always researched each ingredient before deciding to add it. I also based it on the amount of time it takes to prepare as I have limited time to do this.

I'm not sure how much the juicing has helped but once I started I noticed it started to speed things up a bit in the healing process after getting off PPI's.
