Hi guys

I cannot at this stage tell you if I have gerd or not. If I do it's the silent type. about 10 weeks ago the roof of my mouth felt very sore and irritating the sides of my neck were really sore. My tonsils were playing up sometimes my throat felt like it was inflamed and large. etc.
I then went through a period of a dull ache around the roof of my mouth. I have had full blood tests, CT Scan on my sinus and brain (which did show inflammation in my right maxillary cyst or polyp which I have been told shows up on many scans.)

I have visited my dentist to no avail. I do not feel ill no problems swallowing but for 10 or so weeks I have this throat problem it now feels like burning it's constantly there. I am a heavy smoker and I cant give up im stressed frustrated fearing throat cancer and seem to have no answers . I am however booked for ENT Dr im unsure for when. 3 doctors say my throat looks healthy my blood pressure is find as is my heart rate.

I am a chronic snorer and I also sing badly through my throat lol. I just started taking apo pantoprazole 20mg
doesn't seem to be doing much. I seem to do little burps a lot.

If anyone has any ideas on my symptoms or what I should do to help I would greatly appreciate it

Many thanks

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  I am going to post a link to information from our resources at the top of the page that will give you info re both GERD and LPR.
You are making the right decision in visiting an ENT to have a medical screening exam to try to discover the reason for your symptoms.
Hopefully this info will give  some solid background reading on the difference between GERD and LPR.
Stick with us as we do care and will help you as much as we can.
