Last year I went to a GI doctor because I had an undiagnosed cough. I thought it was coming from stomach acid. He did an endoscopy and told me all was normal. THe coughing has calmed down thanks to allergy meds but I still get gas pains behind my lungs it feels like. I also do not to to the bathroom reguarily. Could this still be GERD since I was told that the post nasal drip I have could get into my stomach. How can it be treated? Thank you for any help.

It's possible that the Gastroenterologist was not able to see an erosion in your mucosal lining when he performed an endoscopy. I would consider talking to your doctor about a pH study ... these would determine if you are refluxing or not.

Quite often patients can suffer from NERD (Non-Erosive Esophogael Reflux Disease) where they are refluxing acid, but it doesn't hurt the esophogus.

The chronic cough is indicative of atypical GERD (or NERD). Treatment would be PPI therapy for 4-6 months BID.
