I have recently tried several Aloe Vera gels/juices for the Gerd I have had for years. about 15 years ago I remember using a Aloe Vera Gel product and it was VERY well received by my system. I felt better but soon moved to Palm Springs area (which am at now).

I recently have had some recurrence of this problem and have tried at least 4 or 5 Aloe juices/gels and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM tastes like some kind of SOUR lolly pop! I mean give me a break, the citric acid is downright terrible and I would bet that the extreme acidity of Citric acid is harming or negating to some degree the beneficial aspects of the Aloe.

I've found "Lily of the Desert" one of the worst in this regard. Does anyone know of a product that doesn't ruin the stuff with Citric Acid? The product I used a long time ago did NOT have any such sour taste and was great. Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob. Welcome to our forum.
Look for the brand name George's aloe. It has NO citric acid, is clear liquid that looks and almost tastes like water. Very easy to drink. We buy at local health food store. Hope this helps. Feel better soon. Pat
