Hello...
please help me if you have similar experience...
about 1 month ago, I felt there are mucus in my throat, and it was hard and I cannot get it out. I sometimes can cough it out, and the mucus are hard and yellowish and sometimes red and they are hard. I felt uncomfortable in the throat, that there is always something stuck there and i can't get it out. However, one month ago, food actually made my throat less uncomfortable.

Recently, I have hard time swallow the food, i feel the food stuck there, and even drinking water i feel something stuck in my throat. I also has chest pain, like pressure to my chest area, and i feel i am out of air. ( Friday after I ate dinner, I actually kept burping and threw up the food)...

Can you tell me what is wrong with me and what should i do please...
I can't even sleep because i contantly feel something stuck at my throat area.

Thank you so much!

Mary

Make an appointment and go to your GP, Gastro doc, or even go to ER if it gets worse. 2 years ago, I was sitting in a restaurant with my husband and swallowed a sandwich and it got stuck. I finally got it down but ignored it. I had swallowing problems for 4 months after that incident. I had the chest pain and would pant every night trying to breathe. For me it was a large hiatal hernia.

If it is getting worse, have it checked out. In the meantime, eat lightly. Try soups or liquids. What are you taking for the mucus?

Hello marygood. Welcome to the forum. We're sorry that you are having such a hard time. Please go to the doctor or emergency room.
It sounds like you are having cricoid spasms. Look them up and see if you agree with the listed symptoms. But get in to see that doctor. Don't try to diagnose yourself. Let us know how you are doing and what the doctor tells you.
